Services

KETSC offers individualized support through one-on-one employment counseling. These sessions help identify career goals, assess strengths, address barriers to employment, and develop a personalized action plan.

KETSC assists clients in upgrading their academic skills to support future training or directly enter the job market. Academic upgrading may include literacy, general education, and employment readiness components. To access this service, participants must work with an Employment & Training Counselor to create an individualized plan.

Professional development programs help community members obtain job-specific skills and certifications that make them more competitive in the labour market. These programs may be short-term or vocational in nature, preparing participants for specific roles or industries.

KETSC offers practical employability supports, including assistance with resume writing, interview preparation, job search strategies, and connections to local employers. These services aim to strengthen confidence and readiness for work.

For those interested in entrepreneurship, KETSC provides resources and guidance to explore self-employment opportunities, including planning, start-up essentials, and supports geared to small business development.

KETSC offers wage-subsidized summer employment opportunities for secondary, college, and university students. Participants gain work experience relevant to their education, while employers receive support in hosting student placements. Eligibility includes full-time student status, age requirements, and proof of enrolment.

KETSC’s job board features employment opportunities from the MCK, community partners, and local employers. Members can explore opportunities that align with their skills and aspirations.
